failed emissions

failed emissions

i have an 85 pickup and it failed emissions today. too much carbon dioxide coming from my pipe. the guy said i wasnt burning all my fuel. what could cause this? thanks ahead

bad catalytic converter could cause this. Or oxygen sensor (assuming you have the 22-RE)

22-r and on the sheet it said the catalytic converter was fine. i passed everything except the CO discharge, which mine was about double the allowable amount. everything else was perfect.
