Extremely tight steering

I have an 84 22r 4x4 pickup and it is nearly impossible to turn the wheel. Is this a steering box issue or something else?
-thanks

Does your power steering reservoir have fluid in it?

Okay so you are asking a question about a truck you don't have and can't give any definitive details about.

I can't really help ya on that.

its all good dude. id ask or go over yourself and take a look. If its a manual steering truck then its one of two reasons...

1) no gear oil in box causing bindage
2) adjusting nut set too tight

If the truck has power steering

1) low fluid
2) failing power steering pump
3) possible blockage in one of the lines

Hope it helps!!!
