ecu and o2 questions.

Guys... my 93 has code 27.... rear o2 sensor. Its junk and needs replaced. the truck stumbles a bit now and then as a result.
I am wondering... I dont really wanna spend $ on an o2 being as in the near future... my cat will b gutted, negating the use of a rear o2.
I just happen too have an ecu out of a 93 without cali emmissions... or without the rear 02... bot sr5 v6, bot 5sp.... basicly the same truck... minus a sunroof.... will the ecu out of the 93 fix my code 27? will it work at all? Or am I gonna have to spend $ on a cat and o2? T.I.A.

Last time I checked, the o2 was closer to $150.... I will only buy oem parts... unless there is a lifetime warranty and its easy to change. As far as knockin out the caddy.... I believe that the point of this o2 is too ensure the cat is working properly... if the cat is gutted... it wil;l not work properly and I still get code 27.
I just wanna know if the ecm out of a 93 with no rear o2 will work on my rig, or at least not ruin it. As far as I know... everything else about these rigs is identical, except mine has a moonroof, the 93 does not.
