Door Latch Stuck '85 Pickup

Door Latch Stuck '85 Pickup
So I was installing a new stereo on my truck and my son was messing around in the driver seat and when I tried to open the door, it wouldn't go. I have been arguing with it for about 30 minutes. My conclusion is that the locking mechanism is stuck in the locked position. I found this thread https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116...t-open-167724/
But unfortunately it looks like the pictures are gone. As well the "ram the door" method just gave me a sore shoulder. It looks like the spring they are talking about is fine.
It won't open from the inside or outside. I disconnected the rod to the key lock (key lock cylinder is frozen) and tried to jimmy the lock that way. No juice.
Manual locks.

so I've been climbing out of my passenger side door for the last 5 months or more still haven't opened my driver side door. I've got it apart again with the panel off seems like something is jammed apart from cutting the door up, I'm not sure what to do. any input would be helpful. I've got the other door apart to compare as well and it just seems like something isn't quite moving far enough when I open the latch on the driver side door. I've tried talking as hard as I possibly can on the connecting rod and no luck.

Here might help you on the outside https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f198...l#post52225983 You will need to scroll down a little to see the door part.
If your door isnt opening from the inside here is how I fix it.

This is my passenger door and it does open like it should from the inside. The drivers side does not. I was comparing the two trying to figure out why the passenger did and not the driver. I then seen this little foam. It helps hold the rod into the valley impressed in the door and that little bit makes the door open.

Here is the valley with the door handle pulled to open it and you can see where it is out of the valley.

Not the best fix in the world but is a better system then what Toyota did and it is working great now. I drilled two holes and used a ziptie. I will see if it is going to interfere when I stick my windows back in and let you know if this will work. Either way it will be a similar fix if it does interfere unless someone has a better idea on to do it.
A friend of mine and me have seen this issue several times and surprisingly I dont ever see this pop up on Yotatech or even seen a thread on it.
High Tech door fix.

I had this happen too my 89. basically what happened with mine was the mech in the lock was able to spin some of the tumblers but not all. So I ended up with a stuck lock.
I had been messing with the door and panel removing speakers, and was trying to make the inside handle work better. I'm not sure how it happend, but I had like the top tumblers rotated but not the bottom one. I took it too a lock smith. He took my key stuck it in the lock and pushed in and moved it back and forth. after a few minutes he successfully line up the tumblers and didn't even charge me. Told me too go get a key cut from the code on the lock. I went too toyota and did so.
Then on my 87 when I got it the inside door handle of the driver side didn't work very well, I had too really pull on it too get it too let go. even then sometimes it didn't work. This one I got in and looked at, i just added a little bend in the rod to shorten it. fixed right up.
