Coolant system question

I put on a new radiator cap on my 85 22r after flushing everything out and replacing the t-stat, but I can't help but wonder if something is wrong.

13psi cap, 180 degree t-stat, but I feel like the radiator hose pressure is too much? Does 13psi REALLY feel that tight, as if the t-stat is not opening?

Any thoughts on this? Is this normal? I sure can't remember since my 87.

Is the upper hose getting warm? If pressure exceeded 13 psi it should force coolant into overflow.

Normal. At 13psi, the upper hose is quite firm.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, the upper hose gets warm, heat works good, overflow reads normal before during and after cool down.

Sounds good.

Red face

why does your CD player have any contact with the parking light circuit??

The stock Toyota Harness works fine unless you no longer have a vehicle but a sound system on wheels
