Check my Power steering gear placement please.

I was having some problems locating the new IFS power steering gear on the frame. So I thought before I do any drilling and welding I would post up a few pictures and let the pro's see if they think it in the right place, or close enough.

Thanks

You need to plate and sleeve the frame.

Pics of how to mount IFS box are on project Weasel and Barney.

The bottom two holes should center the frame and the pitman arm and TRE/castle nut should have sufficient clearance.

Yours looks currently uncentered as mentioned above.

Thanks wabbit. I will plate the frame that is just clamped on there to mark the bottom holes. I was having a hard time centering the holes on the frame, while keeping it forward as far as i can, and still getting around the stock nuts that are welded to the inside of the frame. I will adjust and post another picture tonight.

I just cut anything in the way off.

Pull the radiator or cover it before welding.

Find the pics I was talking about?
