Unfortunately in New Jersey you must apply for a permit for amber light bars:

hope that helps

lol thanks and dang it lol, for some reason i feel that there is a loophole somewhere, and ill be able to get my lightbar without a permit, oh well time to start reading every last rule to this permit thing and ill find a loophole soon enough, im gonna be pullin over grannies in no time. lol jk , but it'll look cool haha

i know it's a bit late in the conversation, but i have my cb (handheld, i got it free) hooked up to the stock antenna. works great for about 1.5 miles

the radioshack adapter and extension to the radio

also, i'm always tuned to channel 19, but is there some other one that four-whelers (us) tune to?

hey pretty good idea, do you have a stereo system in your truck? but im always on 19 too, i dont know if there is a channel for four wheelers, but its a good idea to start one up since truckers have their own channel. lol

lol I'm game, I can probably skip to NJ and VA on LSB with my 4ft wilson flex, ranger superstar ss39 and a shooting star 250W Linear.
But none of you have a sideband radio.
BTW
Used ranger ss-39 : $80
new Wilson 4ft Flex $35
new 18ft RJ-8X $20
New (converted) mirror mount $15
Used linear $75
$225 setup
Not to mention my twin wilson flex another converted mount, another 18ft cable and adapter that runs my AM/FM/CD deck.

works pretty good actually as long as you have the room behind your deck for the PLC to Motorola adapter for the antenna cable. but anything is better than my flopping around original antenna on the fender. lol.
