Carburetor conversion?

Carburetor conversion?
I have a 85 4runner that the previous owner built from a 88 runner and it has a mishmash of the computer(88), injectors(?), o2 sensor(88 position) and test port(88) and I have never been able to get better than 7 mpg. I really don't go off road enough that the efi would come in handy and am wondering if converting to a carb would be a good solution.

well track down a parts vehicle to get your ECU, Manifold , Carb or go with new. the engine harness and any sensors.
You also need a fuel pressure regulator unless your swapping to the low pressure pump on the engine.
Might just be easier to figure why your mileage is so poor.:jessica::jessica:

if you got a mess under the hood you could just get a weber conversion kit,an intake from a 84-85,mech. fuel pump and convert the fuel pick upat the tank.youll need a good torque cam as well.
