Blinker Voltage Drop? Horn radio connection?
Hey guys, I searched around and couldn't locate a solution to my electrical woes on my 85 SR5. 2 problems
1. When the blinker blinks either direction the voltage meter dips when the light is on then goes back up when the light is off. So it kinda dances when the blinker blinks
2. If I hit the horn the radio cuts out. Before with the stock radio it would go to static. Now with the pioneer it just cuts out (display still on). I have to then power it down then power it back up to get music to play.
Battery is new. I'm thinking its a current starvation issue having to do with a failing alternator? But headlights aren't noticeably dim or anything. Also the battery is charging fine. Truck starts fine every time. Anyone have a clue? Thanks for reading.

My blinkers get jiggy too!! Maybe we should start a club?
This is one of those issues that's been on my list for a while. Too many projects going on at once, so I'm just living with it for now. I figured it was a ground issue, or crappy old wiring to the blinkers.

Same problem here, I'm going to assume a bad ground. With the negative switching ground that Toyota uses, where does everything ground to? Back to the battery? or a terminal block somewhere?
Seems like theres enough of us with this problem we should be able to get to the source!
