So I've been thinking about a nice basket with some more lights for my 85 runner, as I think that most of you know the top comes off these types of 4 runners and they have no mounting rails or hardware of any kind to mount one. (My ? is) has anyone out there done or found any thing that is useful and looks good for these truck or am I going to have to fab this up. I'm open for ideas and pics would greatly help, thanks.

 

I've been toying with the same issue for some time. I've thought about buying one of the Wilderness Track Racks and bolting it to the fiberglass roof using nutserts (threaded rivets) so that it can be installed and removed without dropping the liner.

I thought the 44" x 60" x 6" would work well on the Gen1 roof.
