Auto to manual hubs on 85

Getting ready to do the auto to manual hub swap on my 85 with autohubs, but had a couple questions. I've searched and searched, but can't find a direct answer.

1. To do this swap, do I need the manual hubs off an 85 or older, or will the manual hubs off an 86 and up work also? From what I gather, they have to be 85 or older....

2. And do I need the auto to manual hub conversion kit for an 85? I assume that I do, but everywhere I look it says its used for 86-95 conversions. Just wanted to check.

Thanks

There were no auto hubs on any 1985 toyota truck or 4runner.

I know I'm new here, but from the research I've done, auto hubs came standard on 1985 SR5 Xtra cab 4x4 models only, which is what I have. It's definalty an autohub, as theres no dial on the hub. I'll post a pic below. I really just need to know what year(s) manual hubs will work to convert an 85 auto hub to manual and weather I need the conversion kit for an 85 since it has a solid axle.? I know there's not a whole lot of them out there, but If anyone out there has an 85 SR5 Xtracab 4x4 and has done the switch, please help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it. I know I've seen few on here. Thanks again.

79 to 85 manual hubs which are 30 spline hub gears

OR

86 to 95 manual hubs, 27 spline, and get Long fields 30 spline hub gears made to swap in

You need
2 wheel bearing nut kits and a 54mm socket

Consider
New hub dial o rings
New star and hub gaskets

Yes, for whaveter reason some 85s had auto hubs.

Easy enough to swap them out, either get some used solid axle hubs (best option) or an aftermarket hub kit:
