i havent done any work on it lately but these might show my plan a little.
the back was cut at a bit of a downward angle to help with the reverse lights actually lighting the terrain.


the top of the bedside is almost a perfect 1 1/4".


and the cut above the wheel well is a little over 1 1/4".


now i just need to cut, angle, and lightly bend some square tube to weld to to edge of the bed to make the top of the sides.


the end of the bed will be boxed just big enough to mount the led back lights and provide some support so the sides dont flex or flop around. so far that's the plan.
