Exclamation Aap!

so my 84 pickup is runnin pretty rich and im thinkin its the aap...whats a good place to buy a new one from? jegs? cuz im needin a new booster BAD..fluid is leakin into the cab!

how do you know its the brake booster, its prolly the master cylinder seal thats gone

i plan on replacing them both. but i have to fix the runnin rich problem first. thats my dilemma.

If it's leaking out the back of the master cylinder and thru the booster, they're both bad.

at the end of the last school year, my truck was runnin real rich, wouldnt even get 100miles to a full tank(stock gearing, 28's) and would puff black smoke like crazy.

The easiest way to really get that aap replaced is take the carb off. i did it w/o taking the carb off, but it was the biggest PITA. its a little rubber diaphragm thats the cause of it runnin rich. when i pulled my old one out, it looked brand new, no tears, nothin(mustve been a pinhole or something, cuz i didnt see anything wrong with it)

I put the new one, and it ran much better, back to normal.

where did you order it from? all i can find is the rebuild kits no one sells them separately.was it hard to do it w/o taking the carb off because im not to familiar with them?
