New to your forum. Have a 87 pickup 22R-E, EFI, auto, Ca emissions. Truck runs great. Idles good when cold and hot. Let it sit for a bit and it Idles rough, dies and hard to start. giving it some throttle keeps it from dieing but still rough. drive for a short time and it idles good. plugs are fresh. Any suggestion on where to start. Going to spend some time on it tomorrow.

 

Try checking your ignition timing and for any vacuum leaks. You say its only hard to start after it dies? just a heads up, you posted your 87 pickup question in the 84-85 section. you may get more detailed answers in the proper section from people that drive the same truck. good luck, let me know if that helped.
