85 yota brake problems
ok so i have a 1985 toyota pickup 22re. its solid axle obviously and last week put a new third member in the front with a lockrite in it. upon putting everything back together i had little to no brake pressure. thats when i noticed my passenger side caliper leaking pretty bad. went camping that weekend (as stupid as that sounds) and did a little wheeling just had to pump the brakes a bit to stop. as time went on that weekend the leaking got worse. replaced the caliper today and bled the brakes seemed to get nothing but solid streams of fluid from the bleeders but my brake pressure seems worse then before...if i push the pedal to the floor (with little effort mind you) the back brakes will lock up but the front ones dont seem to budge much. im at a loss here...maybe keep bleeding? or maybe the drivers side is messed up too? they worked ok before taking the calipers off to pull the axle to put the new third member in
any help would be amazing...im at a loss at this point
thanks in advance!

If everything worked before you took the calipers off, my bet is you let the Master Cylinder run dry and then never bench bled it. Then you probably didn't bleed the system right by forgetting the LSPV.

That's kinda what I was thinking too after reading around on the forums. Ill give that a shot and see what happens. Also I noticed with the truck off it will build pressure but as soon as I start it, the pedal gets soft again. Not sure if that means anything but thought I'd bring it up lol
