85 stock suspension questions
My 4 runner is almost scary to drive on the street. It tracks grooves in the road, and swerves to the right when i hit the brakes.
There is a dogbone that connects the front axle to the chassis. The bushings are bad, but no one seems to know what the part is called, or where to get replacement bushings...
Suggestions on replacing it?
2. Is there a stronger, or quality replacement part for the draglink (i think thats what its called..it connects the steering box to the knuckle)... Truck is fairly stock with 32" tires.... I purchased a rebuild kit from napa for nearly 60 bucks, but i'm wondering if there is a better/stronger replacement seeing as i beat the crap out of my poor truck, and that is an important piece....
any suggestions/links will be greatly appriciated.

My guess is that you have got more than one issue affecting your handling. on a 22 year old truck if you have got one bad bushing you have got more. Have you checked your brakes, tie rod ends & wheel bearings too?
My '81 was wandering too (no front Track bar) my issues were a combination of the drag link and a steering joint...

The "dog bone" is called the torque rod. Not sure there are aftermarket bushings for it, likely need to replace it with a used one or get an adjustable rod. It controls bump and brake steer. Tighten up and/or replace the rod ends in the drag link. Stock unit is fine, rebuild it and it should be fine.
Also, check the knuckle and wheel bearings:

I think SuperLift and maybe Rancho make adjustable torque rods and draglinks. Or you can modify yours with heim joints:
