85 automatic problem

85 automatic problem
I asked the question on here before but cannot find the thread. Half the time i have to manualy shift my automatic trany and the other half the time it works fine. Someone said its might be a dirty wire conection. Can someone tell me where the conection is to clean it or what i should do.
