85 4Runner leaking at left front wheel

My sons '85 4Runner is leaking gear oil at the left front wheel. I havn't been able to determine exactly where at, but I'm guessing an axle seal. My question is, is it lekely to be an axle seal similar to the rear axle? I have changed those before, but have no experience with a SFA with all the steering components involved. The back side of the knuckle is covered in an oily mess. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, just don't have any SFA experience.

Inner axle seal.
Requires complete knuckle tear down to service essentially so it would be wise to service both sides. Knuckle Service Kit will have everything you need.

Marlin sells a heavy duty seal that will last longer than the OEM seal (provided you build it right) and I would also suggest TrailGear (or similar) Rock rings for the swiper rings. Stronger, thicker rings that won't distort when tightened.

Thanks for the info guys. I hope we can get it done soon. He leaves for Navy basic training 26 Sept, so if not, I may be doing it alone. : )
