5.29 and 4.11 question..

so i have enough money saved up to get a set of 5.29's for the rear of my 85..

my concern is.. sometimes when shifting into reverse, (or a dumb passenger playin with the sticks) sometimes i notice my 4wd light is on..

if i have 529s in back and 411 up front.. it will only blow the xfer case if the hubs are locked too right?

just a question until i can get both sets in..

Correct, if front hubs are unlocked, it makes no difference if the ratios are different. To be safe, you could always remove the front drive shaft until you get both gear sets installed.

Harder and you could let dirt into the case. I'd pull the shaft. You'll have to to remove the front diff, anyway.
