3rd gen pickup rear springs on 85 4runner
Hey new to the forum here.
I'm in the process of budget building an 85 4runner. I've been searching around various forums and can't find any proof; other than word of mouth, that this is a decent rear spring setup. How would 51" Toyota springs compare to reversed F150? I was thinking that if I ran the 51s, I could orbit eye shackle hangers and add a couple leafs to match the OME RUF I plan to do. Any pics of a similar spring setup in action would be appreciated.

The best thing to do with spring swaps is trial and error. I've only used Toyota springs or after markets so I don't have a lot of experience. But I do have lots of friends that have done similar swaps. One friend would have success with a certain spring packs and another wouldn't. If you can get them cheap from junk yard or off craigslist then you can do some experimenting.
