Question 22R Oil Pump Removal...

I need a little help with getting my oil pump off to replace the seals. I've got the first pully off, now I need to get the balancer off. Any tricks on how to get this darn thing off?

Find a FSM or try AUTOZONE's online manuals in the "repair info" on their website.

Autozones tells me to remove the oil pan, strainer ect but the oil pump is mounted to the front of the engine, why would I need to remove all that stuff?

If your only removing the pump there is no need to remove the pan and other stuff....

you could go to checker and in there loan a tool they have a puller that works just for these.....
or us a big screw driver and gently push on the pulley from behind. go from side to side, also try some spray lube to loosen things up.
