hey i have an 84 pick up and i blew the head gasket on it well after fixing it we put a new timing belt on it and put it all back together well not it seems like its only running on 2 cylinders maybe three some of the time and i know this because i can pull off a spark plug wire and there will be no spark we changed wires and plugs and even the distributer does anyone have any ideas on whats wrong or how to find out or fix it???

 

have u checked the coil

 

timing chain you mean? do a compression test if it comes back low on any of the cylinders you may have problems other than the the gasket. warped head? warped deck?bent valve? worn piston rings? chain could be 1 or more teeth off or the dizzy is off.. check the timing first...

 

did you get the head shaved?
