I'm hoping someone here ca help me out. i've got an 85 truck w/ fuel injected 22r motor. the tag on truck say 22re-c. the info that i've found for an 85 does not match the smog the motor has. does anyone have a complete smog set up for a fuel injected '85 california vehicle?

c doesnt stand for California does it? because im sure mine says 22rec and it does not have all the junk the California ones have.

 

Actually on the '85 22REC, I have yet to find anything different between the 22REC and the plain old 22RE engine. I think the "C" is basically the 50-state version of the engine. Later year engines did have differences between the RE and REC, such as temperature sensors on the EGR valve, 2nd O2 sensor after the catalytic converter, etc.
