Just looking to create a knowledge base for 1st genners in one place instead of having to weed through a bunch of other generation stuff. There is a great deal of information on www.pirate4x4.com in the Toy FAQ as well.

I got...but not all completed
1985 4Runner, EFI, 22RE, 86 rear end, 86 interior/gauge cluster, 35" MT/Rs, dual ARBs, 4.88 gears, Extreme Outback 100% duty compressor, 5" All Pro extreme lift kit, Marlin billet steering arms and wheel spacers, rear disc conversion w/ FJ80 MC, t-case mounted e-brake, blah blah blah for the future

Some Pics
Can you tell I'm excited to be up more than 24 hours?

You can see pics of my junk on the link to my website below as it is a work in progress at the moment, but looking better!

Post up what you got and a pic and a website link to your junk if you got it.

I bought an 85 back in October last year. Its a Deluxe model, Tan with brown interior, 5sp, cruise, ect.... Very..very little rust. Its still Bone stock due to Lack of funds. (actually spent a boat load on a new 61" TV, my old 19 inch kicked the bucket)

I'll have to snap some pics soon.

I got a 85 that i'm converting to efi. from a 87. Don't have a website. though. Too much of a hassle. I got it for $600 and it came with 33's and a extra set of 33's plus it's got smittybuilt nerf bars and front bumper. I painted the efi line i got red yesterday and i'm installing the gas tank when i get a 3 day weekend. Then all's i got is the wiring and engine to install. If I worked days i'd probadly have it done by now. Oh well...

i have an '89. no real mods to speak of because i'm a poor grad student. i have a set of procomp aal's that i need to get in, but i can't do it myself. i'm also getting ready to order a 1" roger brown body lift, but that may have to wait until spring when i'll hopefully have time to put it in.

Hey,

What a great idea. I have a 1988 SR5. I put a soft top on for the summer and put the hard top back on for the winter. I have a list of mods I want, just don't know where to start.

I have an 85 4runner, bought it last november, bone stock with a 22re, auto tranny and 4:30 gears, ive since dropped in an 86 22rte with a garrett T3 turbo, lifted it 4 or so inches and put on some 33" bfg mud terrains, i plan on swapping in a 5spd in the near future and adding a rear locker.

I have a 1st gen except for the motor(my 5.0). I have mostly been working on the motor, now it's time I pay a little attention to my suspension

Don't know if your still looking for 1st gen drivers, cause the threads kinda old, but f it. I got an 85 runner that I got off ebay for $1560. I drove it 500 miles from OH from the airport. Since then, 4.88's, downey intake, thorly header, NWOR exhaust, 3.5" springs, 86 rear axle, front all-pro spacers, poly body mounts, 32" bridgstone muds, custom bumpers and sliders being made this weekend, along with aussie lockers going in as soon as they ship them. contemplating an engine swap, give me some ideas.
and this thread is a great idea. it seams the old school trucks dont get much love these days.

It's singed the hair on my nuts, but otherwise performs nicely.
