Have a 1986 toyota pu with the 22r. It has Rochester Twinjet carb on it and resontly it would start butt it would only run for a minute or so. Then it would shut off and not start until the next day. I think my fuel pump her my Carb acting up but I'm not sure I can't think of anything else it could be. What would cause the issues it has perfects spark and timing please help.

 

I have never had any luck with those carbs. Have you considered swapping in a Weber 32/36 DGEV? That's what I have always ended up doing.

Would a bad fuel pump Cause this.

 

I would not doubt the carb. You could always try the cheaper fixes first like the pump, but I do believe the carb has the issue.
