I have a 1985 toyota pickup with a ????? year engine the number on the block is 1111873. can someone tell me what year is this engine?

Can you tell if it is the stock engine? It could be either a 22R or 22RE or 22REC, just look if you have an EFI unit, if not it is a 22R, if you do, it is a 22RE or REC, the only difference is REC has a few extra somethings [not sure all what exactly, one is an O2 sensor sometimes] to pass emissions testing in 85 in
California, hence the C. Can you get a picture?

 

It's not the original engine. I have to change the timing chain but don't know what year chain and guide to purchase. The top end is EFI the bottom end ?????????.

 

I need a picture. I bet it is a 22RE or REC, which would be the same parts anyway, and 22RE was from 85-95, but not sure if the timing chain is the same. Post pics
