It will work, but how do you plan on wiring it up, are you going to make it a stand a lone system ?.

Your 82 22R is a carbed engine, there is no computer for anything on your truck. to make the fuel injection work your going to need the computer and complete wiring harness swapped into your 82 truck for it to work. Its not a simple swap, but there are some here that have done it. I think you should do some searching and reading before you jump into this.

Ya ive been searching and researching for about 2 weeks now and have the thread on pirate about the swap with wiring diagrams and also the swap from this forum on a first gen swap and my dads buddy that is coming over to help with it is an extremely good mechanic and really smart with electrical and is somewhat familiar with toyotas so I'm hoping with all the info I've gathered on it we can get it done. He was the one who suggested it since I'm going to be using it as my dd and it's going to be going up and down the mountain near my house a lot during winter.
