One more time, it's the temp switch (TSW, signal to ECU) not the AC cut off (AC cut off hasa different layout with no shroud)...

Fixed Starting Problem

Probably for a different thread, but my starting issue is all fixed on my 86 4Runner. It ended up being my idle air control valve which isn’t on the market anymore, but can be adjusted. I would highly recommend looking at yours if you have one of these old girls. Unfortunately, I threw parts at the problem after I read multiple threads I thought were explaining my problem. Replaced the starter, thermo time switch, had injectors cleaned, and replaced the fuel pump before we checked out the IAC. It’s not hard to pull it off and take a look at it. Check out this thread.
