I have a85 4x4 pickup. Replaced the motor with a reman and my ac compressor bracket doesn't fit on the new motor. Went to the parts yard and got a bracket off a 22re that fits to the tcc but now the pulley for my compressor doesn't line up with the other pulley. Also the compressors are different, the compressor that I had with the motor that was in the truck when I bought it doesn't fit the bracket that I was able to bolt onto my motor .. Any ideas ??

 

Toyota used two different compressors and brackets.

Why does your original bracket not fit the new block??

Is it an older block??

 

The bracket come off a 92 pick up so I'm guessing I ended up with a newer block when I got the reman engine. My truck is an 85 and I thought that was the year they started using the taller block, which leads me to believe it wasn't the original engine.
