1984 22R smoking

My 84 22r has been spitting out white/grey/blue smoke cant tell very easily, But its not coolant ive been watching it carefully if its burning anything its excess fuel or oil.. After its been sitting for a while it will start really roughly and vibrate. I feather the gas pedal and it wants to almost stall but then it smooths out after she warms up.

On the valve cover i replaced the pvc valve, and the hose that is supposed to bring fresh air into the crank case from the air cleaner is actually having blow-by its not pulling in fresh air but its blowing out an oil mist causing buildup ontop of my valve cover.

I think that the valve stem seals are toast or more fearfully the guy i bought it from got gas into the crank case and ran it like that and toasted my rings causing blow back pressure.. Im looking for ideas and opinions ive looked around on the forums. Im running syn-blend castrol gtx 10-40 i live in satans basement and thought about changing it and putting in 20w50 just to give it better hold up in the heat..

If your getting a lot of blow by out of the valve cover then it sounds like the rings arn`t sealing. Sounds like its time for a rebuild. It would be a good idea to do a compression check on all the cylinders to see were your at.

I concur with others. Sounds like rings and/or valve guides are ka-put. Why would someone run gas in crankcase???? Do a dry, then wet, compression test. Follow up with a vacuum meter test just to confirm.
