With my first one, I didn’t even use glue, I just held it in place until I could get the ring screwed down on it until I started making more and had to make it so everyone can do it with consistent results. Then I demonstrated the use of contact cement on the first one, then a rat smelled an empty bag of chips behind the seat and chose the shifter boot as it’s point of entry. Now if somehow I could get that to happen more, I would be able to quit my day job...
