What wheels do and don't fit Tacoma brakes?

I'm fixin' to convert my 81's front brakes to Tacoma ones, and want to minimize downtime by making sure I have wheels that'll fit. Current wheels are original 15" steelies that have no trouble clearing S12W calipers from a 91 V6.

Anyone who has tried a particular wheel with Tacoma brakes on a first-gen, please post as many datapoints as you have, for details of the wheel (model, width, backspacing...) and brakes (which rotor, which caliper, how mounted) and whether it fit or not.

The v6 calipers are already an improvement over the factory brakes. What makes you want to switch to Tacoma calipers?

I've nearly collected everything I need to install '93 IFS hubs, '93 v6 calipers, w Tacoma rotors and plan to continue running Toyota chrome 15" wheels.

Are the Tacoma calipers a significant improvement? I know they cost more.

Ease of machining warped ones, primarily. I've had my rotors machined at least twice, and they still warp after a meaningful stop. That's mostly the fault of the steelies that don't allow enough airflow, but the slip-over design is far more maintainable than the one that requires tedious fiddly greasy goopy hub disassembly to get to the rotor.

I'm still gathering information, as it's unclear just how many brake options Tacomas had, and if any of them share (or can use) a pre-Taco IFS caliper.
