Hi I searched and measured. Just trying to figure out the thinnest wheel spacer I need to clear tundra brakes (231 mm) for the Lx450 wheels i plan to put on my 3rd gen.

I currently have the 5 spoke wheels and they clear the 231's without issue.

From what I have read:
4runner 5 spoke
Offset: 30 mm
Backspacing: 4" 5/8"

Lx450
Offset: 0 mm
Backspacing: 4.5"

I measured the distance the caliper sticks out, but i am not quite understanding how the backspacing affects what spacer I need. I was thinking that the offset difference of 30mm (1.18") between the two rims is the amount of extra space i need - so a 1.25" spacer.

Anyone want to chime in?

I have the LC80 wheels which are basically the same wheel on my 96 4Runner with the 231mm brakes. I had a 1" spacer on them until I clearanced the wheels to fit the calipers.

Yikes, probably not going to grind. Guess ill go with 1.25". Thank you very much terminator.
