Weber Carb Rebuild

I just got a 32/36 Weber DGAV on ebay and I was going to order the rebuild kit off of webercarbsdirect.com but should I also buy the power valve diaphram while I'm at it. What about an electric choke element? This will be my first carb rebuild and I'm a little nervous about doing it right the first time as this is my DD. One more thing I was wondering about is when I get rid of the vacuum lines, what is your preferred method of capping them off? Thanks for the help.

I have a 87 22r, offy intake and 4 barrell holley, carb was rebuilt by a reputable carb shop, they did a great job, eliminated the choke. Most vacuums are capped off with rubber caps

you might screw it up your first time but thats how you learn. my first time rebuilding a carb was a disaster! now i could rebuild it with my eyes shut. i use a cable choke, but only in the winter time. get the little black caps for the vacuum lines unless your real ghetto and you can you RTV.
