W40 Trans

So I’m at 88,000 miles the clutch goes. Replaced with new clutch and flywheel and a deep cleaning and a new mount of course. I’m getting a lot of noise like a scratching I’m pretty sure it’s the bearings in the W40 trans itself could be wrong some sort of shaft bearing maybe. Any advice would be appreciated or if anyone has a W40 laying around or W58

Are you sure you have a W40? The info I have says it's a 4 speed manual trans that was in 70's Celicas & Coronas, no mention of them being in the Pickup. if the trans is original to the truck, check the info tag under the hood, it will list the model number of the trans.

Did you install a new throwout bearing with the new clutch plate?
