Vented Rotor Question

I will be doing a vented rotor swap on my '81 next weekend. Will I need to use longer wheel studs or can I reuse the stock ones?

Also I what size wheel spacers will I need to have the calipers clear my rims? I'm running 15x8s will a 3.75 backspacing.

Thanks!

Heh Waskillywabbit. I am doing a vented rotor-V6 caliber swap on my 1983 4x4. My wheels are 15x8.5 Enkie 30 series with 3.75 backspacing. Must I use a 1.5 spacer also? If so why, the calibers look like they will clear okay but then again you do this kind of stuff for a living.

V6 vented calipers are way fatter and won't clear without wheel spacers. I use 1.5" as it matches IFS rear width if you swap.

Do you have to do any kind of grinding to the caliper or back of the rotor to get them to fit? (I think I read that somewhere on the net).

Just go with the wheel spacers. I tried grinding mine down and still needed the wheel spacers. So know i have one retarded looking caliper.
