turn signal trouble shooting

1980 pickup 4wd 20r l43

does anyone know off hand if your rear turn signals will not work because of the front turn signals being removed? mine will come on but not flash, but they do flash with the emergency flasher switch engaged. I believe they both share the same flasher but maybe im wrong.

Flasher

I'm not 100%sure, but I think the flasher requires the resistance from all the turn signal bulbs to make it work. That's why they won't flash when one bulb goes out. I do know a 1980 only has one flasher that works both the turn signals and emergency four ways.

I believe my front passenger bulb was blown and it made my pass rear not work.

Thanks guys. Going to pick up some generic signal lamps and tube mount them and see if I can get something working.
