truck bed help please

ok maybe one of yall can help me

whats the difference in a 2wd truck bed and a 4wd truck bed?
]and would one work on a 4wd truck that came off a 2wd?

since i have a 82 truck i can still run 82-87 model truck bed right ?

considering that i am gonna start lifting soon includeing body lifts

I'm not sure the difference on the 1st gen trucks but 2nd gen the 4wd bed has a bigger fender flare then the 2wd as for fitting the 82-87 you need to find an 79-83 bed the 84 and newer is a completely different style

i was actully wanting put a new style bed on it

cause i highly dout ill find that model truck bed around my area

very rare to find one someones parting out

a short box swaps with a short box , and a long box swaps with a long box . they are not interchangable .

79-83 2WD bed will fit on a 4WD , with just a few cosmetic differances . 84-88 box will also fit , but is 1" wider then the 79-83 dimentions .. you will also have to "fit" the fuel filler , as it is NOT a bolt up . 6 of the 8 mounting bolts work .
