starting it for 1st time in ten years

Thanks for the replies guys I can't tell you how much I've appreciated your help
I've finally got it running better the ignition timing was way off so now I've got it dialed in to 0 degrees but have run out of adjustment on my distributor...I know you can take the distributor out and move it a tooth but I can't seem to get it right, I tried it like 5 times last night. Each time I set the first piston at TDC and then pulled out the distributor and tried to move it one way or the other. Any body have any suggestions as to how I can get it dialed in to 5 degrees BTDC
