side markers...alternative

well i went to the junk yard again.i took with me a cardboard templed of one side marker i had.i looked for a while and found a match....86 toyota camary identical matches, down to the bolt pattern on the markers... with no modifications at all...other then splicing the new connectors.one set back is it only has rear reds and no ambers...so i replaced with both reds.
some pics....

Looks good man. If ya don't mind me asking, how much did those run ya? I chose to go the universal route with my truck. Bought 2 amber and two red truck-lite lights and attached them using the original screws. Yours looks more original, however.

Less than 10 bucks, completely legal, and replacements are dime a dozen.

what i found is as close to being original as you can come to....rowdy i looked into your mod,but i decided to go a different rout.

slacker....thanks, but i paid 35$ for all 4...including 4 side markers 4 connectors with the bulbs.
just in case people do wonder....rears came from a 86 toyo camry and the fronts came of a toyo celica 82-85 and both being identical markers. i will post pics of the finished markers as soon as they are finished.

Also the markers off the old crusiers are the same as mini trucks. More crusiers than minis in the junk yards around here.
