My '81 Toy PU (22R, one-owner, paid off 27 years ago) starts perfectly every morning and runs like a champ. If I drive a bit and stop for a few minutes, sometimes on restart it runs extremely roughly. Black smoke, easy to stall, and little power. Once I manage to keep her running through these spasms, she will start running perfectly again. Any ideas?

May be related but my fuel pump is leaking. Anyone recommend a good source of pumps? My Checker special only lasted 2 yrs.
