Rebuilding L52
Hey all. My trany bearings are screeching in reverse and now it's doing it in first a little. My syncros are going out too so l figured it's time to rebuild. l got two rebuild kits in mind to order. What l need to know is which kit you guys prefer and if there's any special trany rebuild tools l'll need to have.

You will need a puller like this.

Perhaps you can rent one.

I'd buy the ebay kit. The seller has good feedback and a return policy. The extra $100 can be used toward a new clutch. Inspect the new kit and compare to the factory parts and return if you don't like it.
