rebuild nightmare
i have a 1982 22r pickup, had it since i was 16, rod bearing spun and i took it to a former coworker who said he would fix it in no time for 100 bucks plus parts. well about 8 months had passed and i pulled the project, got my parts back and now i am stuck assembling my 22r, normaly too hard but he didnt organize anything and its a gigantic puzzle, im pretty sure some of the bolts are missing. is there anywhere on the internet that i can find what size and how many of what bolts i need in order to finaly get my truck back?

Do try to find a FSM, HARD copy, as the ones online aren't right for our trucks. As far as the parts...hopefully someone else will chime in. Was the block serviced (cleaned, honed etc.)? If I spun a rod bearing, I would not just throw new bearings in and call it good...

Factory service manual.
You...actually stumped me there.....
Where the hell does everyone get their fsms? Autoparts stores? Interwebs? I have always got mine from friends who have them, or got them with a truck when the bought them. But never bought one new. So....i dont know...

Yeah you really do need someone who knows. They're who's going to tell you bolt sizes, etc.
Yes, Factory Service Manual. Mine came to me through this site, when I started asking questions about it like you, but I got kind of lucky. If you ask in the classified section of here, Pirate, and Marlin, you might get lucky. Most of us find them used through the internet. There is a company selling new ones, but they'll cost you somewhere around $60-80, I think...Mine was cheap.
If you search "ready to buy", you should find a thread by fleck (I wonder what ever happened to old fleck and that truck he was rebuilding?...), and somewhere in there he shows his new FSM and the link to where he got it.
