I just wired in trailor lights into my 4runner and the way I figured out wich wire was what was just by putting the turn signal on and then check each wire with a circut tester or a volt meter untill you find then one that's got power. to find the brake just find something heavy enough to put on the brake pedal to get your brake lights on and go through all the wires with a tester untill you find the right one.

also maybe before you go do all that, more then likely if it's not the bulb itself it could easily just be the copper contacts where the bulb plugs in, i just had that problem with my front right corner light. sometimes water can get in there and the copper gets that green film on it and you no longer get power to the bulb.
