Rattle, rattle!
Started my rattle can paint job today..
It's turning out more wicked than I could have ever imagined! Came out ridiculously smooth and shiny, especially since I've only done one coat and no sanding.

Thanks!
Rustoleum. The bed's flat green and the cab is a glossy blue.
Behind my apartment, it got up to 11 degrees today in Calgary. I ran out of paint though, and it looks like "snow/rain showers" for tomorrow, so instead of more paint I got plugs, oil, a filter, and started draining for a change.

Yeah, that is still to cold really. and rustoleum is not an automotive finish, and will not stand up to such. just as easily could have at least had some single stage made up and shot that on.

What do you mean? I thought rust paint was supposed to eat and dissolve rust leaving behind a brand new metal after the chemical reaction is complete. I heard you can even use it to fill holes if you stick some cardboard in flush first and lap it on thick enough.

The rustoleum stuff that comes in roll on style is really durable, and can be wet sanded to a mirror. I put some on 2 years ago, and it has no cracks or bubbles (with barely any prep work, just a quick wipe down with acetone). You can spray it on also, just thin it down first. Really cheap way for a decent paint job, and the best part is you can touchup without having to clear coat or anything.

x 5 on loving the ease of application and fixing blemishes..
i keep a half a can of the same paint in the glove box the tip out and a tall bottle cap taped to the top over the nib.
bout a week ago i had a HORRIBLE miss with my key at night. (black locks)
and put a 2 inch scratch just under the lock..
took out my can and zapped that mofo back to new .
people are always stunned when they see it too.
