hi, I've been working on my 77 toyota pickup and I've been having a issue with the timing. even when i adjust the distributor cap i can't get the timing mark on the pulley to line up with the mark on the engine. anyone have any ideas?

completely wrong section.

likely need to rotate your distributor one tooth over to get the adjustment range you require.

Sounds like you are a tooth off. I think you have a 20r and think the following video will work for yours. You may want to check to make sure. The rotor should be at the 11 oclock position and it will rotate to the 12 oclock pistion.

Easy way to install distributor on Youtube.
