hey guys im new here just picked up my 82 last week...and the temp gauge in the dash doesnt work, anyone know where the sensor is on the motor so i can check it out?

Search for the thread to download the factory service manual (FSM) for a 1983 pickup. It will still be applicable to your truck.

 

thanks for the help guys i found what looks like two sending units right in front of the carb where the radiator hose goes in, both of which the wires were broken on. Im assuming one is the temp gauge and one is the oil press
