Question Modified Toyota Wolverine sold at Toyota dealerships

I am selling my 1978 Toyota Wolverine on Craigslist starting the week of 6/13/16
Still Runs and drives good, Has 31 inch B.F. Goodrich Tires and is located near Ocean City Maryland...
Mike

Here are pictures of the modifications made to the Hilux with parts made by specialized automotive engineering I read that Toyota set up several conversion locations to modify these trucks for the dealerships

# They custom made a transmission adapter that connects the dana 20 to the toyota 5 speed, replacing the transmission tail shaft housing.
# One piece slip yoke drive shaft replacing the 2 piece rear drive shaft.
# Custom locking wheel hub adapter, the original toyota dics rotors and brake calibers are used,
# Custom oil pan to allow for dana 30 frt axle
# mounted the toyota steering box on the outside of frame (very weak link, had to be beefed up )
# added shock mounts and leaf spring mounts to frame

Locking Hub

TranferCase adapter

This guy here is listed as a '77 Wolverine on craiglist for $700. Has an ebay link as well.

Sparked my interest. Decided to take a look and see for myself.

That don't look like no Wolverine!

Call it a Trailblazer. I call it...

I rented that house directly behind this truck (not the "colorful" one, the other one) after my senior year of high school in Ocean City, MD! Apparently I missed the photo op!

Mikeadd, where do you live??

Could this be one? they refer to it as a "big red wagon" in the documentary I took this screenshot from.

This is a WOLVERINE II made by the same company that produced the Wolverine. It was a 2 wheel drive with 4x4 fenders and other mods. The company never made a 1979-1983 4x4 and that is why they did the Wolverine II. They stop making all Wolverines not to long after Toyota produced the factory 4X4 trucks.

Toyota sold cars to the masses and the IFS gave a better ride. Chevrolet LUV's sales were going up due to ride qualities and other manufacturers were converting to IFS front suspensions as well.

Honestly I prefer IFS. I don't do hardcore rock crawling, and I honestly don't see the point of it unless you do. IFS is perfectly capable for any vehicle that doubles as a DD and doesn't do crazy rock crawling, and it's just a ridiculously more comfortable ride. But I just like old trucks...so I've got a SFA.

This may be way out in left field, BUT I have a 77 toyota 4x4 put together by a 4x4 shop in California called Wolverine. I have no idea about the truck. Any ideas on mine?
