Post pics of Wolverines

So the other day at the junkyard I came across a sold Toyota that looked like a trekker or trailblazer. But the fiberglass top sat VERY high up. I forgot to snag a pic. On the web searching random stuff today I saw one that said it was a Wolverine? If anybody has one and would like to post pics and maybe shed light to us who do not know much about it, please do.

all made in '79 by griffith co., pretty much non existent these days. consider yourself lucky you saw one..

they are pretty much trail blazers with huge double windows.. worth a pretty penny...

Holy crap i want one of that!

shlobeck 05-23-2010 06:04 PM

Interesting..,, you learn something new everyday on this site..So did Griffith Co. put an after-market solid front axle on this "thing" being that 4x4s were first manufactured in '79? Nasty looking off-roader..

slacker 05-23-2010 06:14 PM

that wasnt made by Griffith .. .. that is a Swedish interpitation of the Trekker

http://www.toyotatrekker.com has a little more "real" info. then here !!! about these older custom units ...

I would totally be interested in the " wolverine" you saw .. in fact .. if it is a true 79-83 toyota 4x4 wolverine .. I will pay you first hand for the pictures .. real cash money !!

Your more likely talking about a "Breaker-Breaker"

It was one of the ones in that picture. I took it to be a wolverine. I have no idea what else it would be instead. And there are no pictures. It did have one of those sweet 80's paint jobs with all the stripes and what not.

Please explain what a breaker-breaker is. I am not following you.

Whoa! Those are pretty slick lookin.

Look nice n' roomy in the back for uhh.. "Camping"

shlobeck 05-24-2010 06:58 PM

Just looks like a glorified camp shell to me...

I think that's essentially what it is. Not the full fiberglass rear like the Trekkers, but still built in and not removable.

yotaman85 05-25-2010 05:54 AM

I have seen the wolverine pickups too, they just seemed to have the name "wolverine" for a add slogan and it kinda stuck.

85gijunk4x4 06-15-2010 11:31 AM

wow lol ive never heard of a wolverine before they a prtty darn neat, they remind me alot of an I-H scout...anyone else think so??
