Picking Up This Truck Saturday

Greetings all... New member... but not my 1st rodeo with forums..
I would like to start by saying I having really enjoyed reading through MANY posts on this site before joining.. I finally joined up after knowing I will be getting another 1st Gen Toyota..
I have owned 3 previous 1st Gens... but <sigh> in my younger days... I might not have taken the best care of them
They all got beat.. rolled.. tipped.. blown up.. etc etc..
But they were the best wheelers ever!!!

Anyway.. I didn't want to be "I plan on getting a truck soon" guy (troll)
So I waited until I knew I was getting a truck...
& that time has come.. I will be picking up the truck in my avatar on Saturday morning..
Seems to be a PNW desert truck (E.Washington)
What do you think

The truck in your avatar looks fantastic and I'm anxious to see more. Upload your photos to photobucket.

Hmm.. Odd.. Pics show up only on my screen I guess..
They were not too good anyway.. I won't even bother with those.. (Have to keep some lusting!!)
I will take some barn/field fresh photos when I pick it up Saturday morning, & of course some pics after a full cleaning..

Truck seems to be a low optioned SR5..?
Well odd options anyway..
Has slider, tach cluster, sunroof, 22R etc..
No PS... No tilt.. No A/C....

Not too concerned about the A/C or tilt.. but will be adding PS when I find a spare weekend project.. & who knows.. If I happen to trip over a tilt column.. chances are I would pick it up as well..

Short term plans are a small 2-3 in lift.. might go as big as 33's but would prefer something a little smaller...

Long term.. I have a worn out 22R on the way that will be going on the stand to be built.. Nothing too major.. just a solid 22R.. Will look at gears & lockers after that depending on how the truck drives...
Truck will mainly be used to get through our slick winters here in E.Wash..
Also to commute my long 5min every day.. I park at a warehouse next to RR tracks & semi trucks are in & out all day..
It will destroy our 2010 SS Camaro, so I have no problem DD the Toyota... I have wanted another one for a while now.. but mama kept saying no.. Well, I showed her where I need to park now.. & she finally gave me the ok
Sorry to babble.. I'm just in "can't wait mode!"
I will post better pics up on Saturday..

As a matter of fact.. The guy has many.. The one I am picking up is the best overall of the group...
I guess he has another with no motor that is pretty nice.. & one that runs like new.. but took a hard hit to the front..

My uncle is having me look the one up & down that has no motor in it.. He sold his 1st Gen for a Tin Top Sami a while back & has been kicking himself since.. He's bragging (but not giving me much info) on a 4.3 that is built in his shop right now..
& knowing him as I do.. He is now retired.. with money to spare & bored... So I'm sure it is impressive..
So there is a chance more than 1 will be removed.. but only mine for this weekend..

Yeah that interior is great. If you're going to do anything major do the dash (like cutting it for a new radio or something), sell me that fake wood paneling and destroy something else! Those are really hard to find these days uncut for modern stereos.

Nice find.

All may rest well... There will be no cutting & hacking to the dash or anything else for that matter... This truck will be brought back to it's original glory..
(with all the improvements Toyota didn't realize I needed!!)
